Difference Between Hermaphrodite and Intersex

Hermaphrodite vs Intersex   The two terms Hermaphrodite and Intersex have been used synonymously before the mid-years of the last century.  However, they have been explained in the scientific literature so that it would be convenient to understand the difference between these two terms.  Since the mid-1990's, it has been important to some in the… Continue reading Difference Between Hermaphrodite and Intersex

Why I feel INTERSEX should be added to the LGBTQ+ rainbow

I feel it is now time to create more allies, create more supportive organizations, and give a way for organizations that want to become intersex inclusive direction on how they can help us end these atrocities that intersex people face.  These human rights violations are in regards to aborting healthy intersex fetuses, and ending non-consenting… Continue reading Why I feel INTERSEX should be added to the LGBTQ+ rainbow

My thoughts about the Third Gender Box, Gender Neutral or Gender X

I was born with intersex variations, here is my autobiography.   My body does not comply with the rules that would put me into either the biological male box or the biological female box. So at my birth, and during my life, and up until the emancipation of my true sex and gender, I was… Continue reading My thoughts about the Third Gender Box, Gender Neutral or Gender X

The Letter I wrote National Geographic

Dear Editors of National Geographic, This is a most urgent matter. I hope you can fix this horrendous error as soon as possible. It has been brought to my attention that you are using the wrong definition of intersex in your "GENDER REVOLUTION" article. By calling intersex a "disorder of sexual development" you are promoting… Continue reading The Letter I wrote National Geographic

A Male/Female Mosaic Brain Proves We Need the Self-Determination of Gender

People have tried to create the myth that the brain is either male or female.  However, the science around this is very skewed, biased, and is always proven to be not good science at all.  I can see why transgender people, and their doctors, psychiatrists,  psychologist,  would be eager to want to prove the… Continue reading A Male/Female Mosaic Brain Proves We Need the Self-Determination of Gender

Doctors call us a disorder, defect, or syndrome, when we are born. We are simply INTERSEX.

INTERSEX people are born as often as redheads, and possibly even more frequent. Sometimes when we are born, doctors do not even call us "intersex" or even "hermaphrodites". Instead, they tell our parents we are born with a "defect", a "disorder", or a "syndrome". Which is very misleading. This way they can justify corrective… Continue reading Doctors call us a disorder, defect, or syndrome, when we are born. We are simply INTERSEX.

When you do not include the “I” in your human rights efforts, this is why it hurts me and other people born intersex:

I am not transgender.  I was born intersex.  But since I was raised the wrong gender, and had to reclaim my true gender, Guess what?   Almost everything that can happen to a gay person, lesbian, transgender person, or gender non-conforming queer person, has happened to me.    I now know I am not alone.… Continue reading When you do not include the “I” in your human rights efforts, this is why it hurts me and other people born intersex:

I want a better world, so I climb this mountain alone.

I want a better world. But this world is so wicked. Few can stand by me with the same wish. They break. They run. They hide. I want a better world! I climb this mountain alone! They say if I get to the top I can be heard. But those who are in fear, bring… Continue reading I want a better world, so I climb this mountain alone.
