Mx. Anunnaki Ray Gender/INTERSEX Activist: Anunnaki is a survivor, widower, parent to three adult children, musician, artist, and a seminarian at Meadville Lombard Theological School. Anunnaki is also a person born intersex whose social activist work and educational work focuses on an individual’s right to bodily autonomy and the right to express their true gender. Through personal narrative and education, Anunnaki works to build bridges of understanding so that all people, no matter how they label themselves, may experience the wholeness that is a basic human right in a socially just world. He believes that the self-determination of gender is every human being's human right. His greatest accomplishments so far is receiving Colorado's first intersex birth certificate and then becoming a TEDx Jacksonville Speaker with his talk "Born Intersex: we are human." Where in it, he shares with the world his intersex story and educates against genital and psychic mutilation.
