Your History lesson for the day with a 2019 article:  How Hitler Took Inspiration From Native American Extermination To Forge His Final Solution By Andrew Milne Published January 31, 2018 Updated September 18, 2019

This article (and many others you can find on the web) writes about how Hitler believed in “Survival of the fittest”. The way I see it, History is repeating in the United States with how COVID19 has been managed (or not managed) by POTUS and the marginalized people it has targeted with the support of the Trump Administration.  We are no doubt seeing our weakest and most vulnerable die in higher numbers than people of wealth.

In my opinion, we are witnessing the targetting of marginalized people; or shall I better say, the deaths due to prejudice.  Between accepting false-negative test results, bad tracing, and opening up the economy before we were all safe, the death toll is now over 130,000+ U.S. citizens and growing.  This doesn’t even count those who died untested or people who died with false negatives!  Many have seen that people of color are dying in much higher numbers, along with our vulnerable elders and disabled people.

However, here we are during the Black Lives Matter movement (with the awakening of more white people), soon after June Pride Month which brought to light LGBTQIA+ human rights violations.  This awareness bringing to the spotlight the murders and tragedies of black transgender women and a need for both movements to join to be stronger.  Many of us, for the first time in our lives, are now learning things they didn’t want us to know in history class.  A more accurate history that is no longer white washed is finally coming to light!   (See sources below)

Why the Twenty Dollar Bill Represents Genocide to Me Now.

While they are taking down statues that represent the oppression of Black people and how these statues still terrorize after slavery, those people including all People of Color, why are we still allowing Andrew Jackson on the twenty-dollar bill, when we know that he was a part of Native American genocide?  Worse, never forget that Hitler used Andrew Jackson as an example of his own genocide!  It is far overdue that they put Harriet Tubman on the twenty-dollar bill, in place of this mass murderer.  (See sources below).

Quote: Many social scientists and historians point to Social Darwinism as a foundation for Hitler’s bigotry. Social Darwinism applies Charles Darwin’s “survival of the fittest” in terms of human society and culture—in that the strongest or “best” society has moral superiority over others. This theory is decried as a bastardization of Darwin’s theory, as it applies scientific processes improperly and introduces a hierarchy to human beings.

Next Quote: One of the most heartbreaking examples is that of the Trail of Tears, in which Andrew Jackson used the force of the American government to expel the Cherokee Nation from their home in the Southeast and relocate them to the West. Nearly 4000 people died.

The echoes of this tragedy ring out in Hitler’s views of the Slavic states in particular. He felt that Ukraine was ideal to be seized and that Germany had every moral obligation to take it as Jackson had to take Cherokee lands.
“It is inconceivable that a higher people should painfully exist on a soil too narrow for it, whilst amorphous masses, which contribute nothing to civilization, occupy infinite tracts of a soil that is one of the richest in the world,” Hitler wrote.

POTUS and his heroes:  Hitler and Andrew Jackson

So, you might be asking how this has anything to do with POTUS.  Well, to some of us he is obviously connecting his campaign to Nazi symbolism, and his favorite president was Andrew Jackson.  It has been rumored that he sleeps with a book of Hitler Speeches in his bedside cabinet.   With his non-complacency and purposeful inability to control COVID19, which no doubt is killing off marginalized people, I see the connection to all this now.  This not even mentioning his connection with Russia.   I do believe we are seeing modern-day genocide, with COVID19 being used against us marginalized people.   Worse,  POTUS is getting away with it.

1 thought on “History and Now: Are we witnessing Genocide again with POTUS?”

  1. With Cherokee Nation, they emulated whites by becoming black slave owners with their own plantations. However, those slaves could become tribal members on occasion.

Then Jackson indiscriminarly instituted mass removal of all natives in area to Oklahoma.
