Poem: A Pit of Despair

They broke you so bad you can not love me now

Even after I pour love all over your broken heart

For twenty-eight months now – you even acted like you liked it

Then the blow

You tell me I am not what you would want

even if you could love now

You say you don’t need help

Maybe I did!

Ah – So no matter I am fucked – thanks!

You broke my heart

Why did I even try?

This world is not mine

I said so before: this world is not

fucking mine

ah – I am not allowed to get angry when he left me for dead

How dare I say “fuck you!”

when you leave me for dead too

***

When I met you

He told me to be careful what you wish for

A warning from the other side

Why did I not listen better?

Because I thought my love could change things

I thought I was lovable

My love means NOTHING

I was so very wrong

My love for you didn’t change a damn thing

Why did I even try?

I thought you were different

***

I fall into a dark pit of despair

He left me cut in half when he died in my arms

And now you spit on that half

with the promise of only virtual friendship and a fake smile

Even after your brother spits on you!

Yes, you told me it can only be friendship

But I thought I would try

You claim nothing has changed

You never felt a thing for me

and that you can not love me better

No matter how much I loved you

***

A bad mix

My health is not good

A dark pit of despair

A broken heart

Your health is not good either

We are both disabled as fuck

You tell me

what will happen next
