Poem: On this 5th Month Without You

There is no more suffering.

And now I must live on.

Your song on the radio;

Without you sounds so wrong.

My tears cry in agony;

The pain of vacancy.

I know you loved me more a man;

But then you went away.

I see you in the Red Cardinal.

He visits me each day.

Your life you gave so freely;

And now you fly away.

So sacred is your being set free.

Set free from this cruel world.

The prison door was open;

No more pain from your broken body

from the broken fools!
