Poem: This is my planet too

In my world, I am not crazy.

In your world I am crazy.

In my world, I legally changed my birth certificate to intersex.

In your world, you still deny me as crazy.

In my world, I change the minds of those who want to be educated.

In your world, you still refuse to be educated or to even learn.

In my world people are respectful, loving of my existence and allow me to educate them.

In your world, you lock me out, would lock me up even, mock me behind my back, and don’t even want to meet the new me.

In your world, you still sit there with your head in the sand even misgendering me and it has been four years ago that she vanished forever.

I now know that I don’t have to be accepted by your world.

I now know about Homophobia, Transphobia, Queerphobia, and Intersex Phobia.  Four very ugly things invented by your world.

I now have people who love me for me on my planet where there is love and equality for all human diversity.

Your world knows nothing of such things.  It only knows how to hurt people who don’t abide by your prejudice.  Your world which is an illogical binary with heteronormative rules.

There is one problem:

This is my planet too.

I exist!

I am real!

I am human!

A song by Like a Storm, that helps me when I feel hated by your world:

Lao Tzu If a person seems wicked.
