Poem: Tattered and Torn Black Rose

Tattered and Torn

Black Rose

Tears always falling

To laugh and scream at the same time

Prisoners to our broken bodies

Yet to dream of freedom some day

Two of a kind

Both tattered and torn

Searching for something

We will never find

Perhaps I should leave here

Go far away

But I long to be with you

So I am here to stay

For another day

The sun rises and sets with you so far away

Yet so near

You presence gives life to me

Black Rose

We can warm each other’s hearts

We are both so cold and tired of this cruel world

Both hurt by death, rejection, bullies

Both betrayed

Forever two friends

That know love

A love beyond what few can

even imagine

Black Rose

You are beautiful to me

Love has to win

Faith
