This documentary, from ABC news, is about a person born with both male and female genitals and their meeting with the surgeon who operated on him as a baby. This surgeon sadly shows little regret for the error made in assigning gender wrong. Children born with both genitals used to be called hermaphrodites, now they’re simply called intersex. Error is often made in assigning gender. Gender cannot be determined by chromosomes or genitals. One’s gender is in the brain. This is one story, of many, about when an error was made.
